About STAC

Who We Are...

The Stack Testing Accreditation Council (STAC) is a not-for-profit organization formed in 2005 by a diverse group of stack testing companies and individuals concerned about the quality of stack test data. Many of these companies were active in the development of ASTM D7036 -- the U.S. consensus standard for stack testing competency.

What We Do...

STAC developed and administers a program to accredit stack testing companies to the ASTM D7036 competency standard. This standard assesses the overall ability of a stack testing company to deliver data of known and documented quality on a consistent basis regardless of the test method used. Becoming accredited provides assurance to both clients and regulatory authorities that a stack testing company is providing them with accurate, reliable data.
